You are struggling to grow your social media audience because you are inconsistent.
Social media has millions of followers and free traffic all along.
The problem is that you cannot be consistent on social media.
This is hurting you subconsciously.
You have decided to be a weekend warrior to build your digital business, but you skip some Saturdays and Sundays.
You are posting something here and there with little to no results.
Sometimes, even you feel you should build your audience on social media.
This inconsistency on social media is impacting your subconscious.
You know many other creators / so-called mentors of yours have grown big on social media.
They are posting regularly and getting a lot of content views, and you wonder how.
They started with a low audience but later became consistent in their craft and honed their skills.
There is an internal struggle that you face:
Inside, you want to grow like a creator with millions of followers and engagement.
Outside, you are shying away from posting the content.
You do something, and then you leave.
At times, you feel you should not be posting on social media.
Other times, you feel you should be on social media.
This internal dialogue and dilemma prevent you from progressing and hurt your growth.
The Problem: Inconsistency in the Digital Landscape
Many professionals venture into creating blogs, YouTube channels, or social media accounts with dreams of building a thriving side business.
Yet, after a few weeks or months of random posting, they are discouraged by a lack of growth and engagement.
The excitement fades, and the digital dream stands canceled, leaving them right back where they started – trapped in the cycle of trading time for money.
According to a report by NASSCOM, while India has over 750 million internet users, only a tiny fraction successfully monetize their online presence. The potential is immense, but the execution often falls short.
All this is impacting you across levels.
In the job, you are less focused as you intend to grow on social media.
You have seen people making good value on social media with the audience.
This is impacting your self-confidence.
The game is not about how much you can do.
The game is about how resilient you can become to negative external impacts.
You have to be mentally tough to accept the blows that you receive.
You will receive some blows from your family for not giving time to them because you are building your brand on social media.
Be ready to face those questions and arguments.
I have personally experienced all those things where I was not available for family but available for social media.
I even faced tough questions from my sibling – why do you want this shortcut?
For people, building an audience and creating money online is a shortcut.
The physical world understands the digital world less.
Because of your negative external influences / internal self-talk/procrastination, you lose.
Negative external influences + Self-image + Negative internal dialogue = Missed social media, missed audience, and missed results.
Imagine spending years climbing the corporate ladder, only to realize that your true passions and potential remain untapped.
The frustration of watching others achieve online success while you struggle to gain traction can be disheartening.
Moreover, the pressure to maintain a steady income can stifle entrepreneurial ambitions in a culture that emphasizes financial stability and family responsibilities.
As Ratan Tata once said, “I don’t believe in making the right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right.” But how can one make decisions “right” in the unpredictable digital business world?
Do This To Succeed Online
- Post regularly. There is a saying—whoever is visible gets sold. Pick 2-3 platforms and post regularly. Your schedule maybe twice a week or daily; follow that. Following your schedule will help your content be visible to others.
- Engage regularly—When you start posting content on social media, you will not have visitors to your content. You have to bring visitors to your content. You must engage with other people’s posts to get eyeballs on your content. You can do this on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram—it works for any social media.Engage, engage, engage – Engage on other people’s posts and gain traction and traffic.
- Analyze the data – Analysing data is critical. If you do not analyze data, you will not be able to understand which kind of content drives results. Know your audience and know your content. Engagements on your social media posts and videos share much about your posts and content. As the AI runs the brain of the social media algorithm- if your content has value and driving content – understand very well that AI has picked some critical data elements in your content that it would recommend to others. What I do is post on X initially. From there, I get the analytics using Tweet Hunter. Whatever is my most performing post, I will iterate and iterate. I would repurpose it on different social media. I would test that content on different social media platforms.
Personally, I have seen that whatever works on one platform works on other platforms, too. The AI of the social media algorithm has picked up something that is helping you.
Follow the steps 1-3 to drive results.
Post regularly, Engage with your audience, and Analyse the data. Consistency, engagement, and data will drive results.
The Process of Auto Sales
Imagine having auto sales from your content. The results are the metrics of the content.
I remember one of my $7 products automatically selling at 12:18 AM. This is the power of social media.
Imagine you have a lot of engagement from your social media posts and content, building your audience and traffic.
Your audience is the traffic to your sales page.
I am getting some or the other low-ticket sales from my social media content, primarily YouTube videos, every day.
People are watching the content and buying 24 × 7 whenever they want.
This is the power of digital and social media leverage.
Your digital brand is ready to deliver trust, audience, traffic, and conversions.
